The game of Stern Halma was invented in the year 1893 and it subsequently reached United States of America where it was given the name of Chinese checkers. The Basics of Chinese Checkers
The basics of the game are that the board of the Chinese checkers is a hexagonal star, each player sets 10 pieces of checkers in one corner of the star.
