How to Capture that Romantic Moment on Paper!

If using pencil drawing as your main medium, it has the added advantage of being inexpensive and quick in comparison to many other mediums. Pencil drawing is also a very versatile medium and many different effects or moods can be captured by using different grade pencils and using scenes which occur around you for inspiration. Pencil drawing is ideal for people - related pictures and can capture the emotions of those around easily.

- Consider the whole composition of the pencil drawing. Think background and where in the picture the romantic couple would be positioned. The setting is very important and once you have made up your mind how the picture should look in your minds eye, then you can get started.
- Either choose to copy a photo of a couple together or be brave and ask some friends to model for you. If the friends are already romantically involved, so much the better as this will make it much easier to capture their sentiment and expressions.
- Practice capturing their likeness by way of a few quick sketches, but if time is short or you know that you are not the quickest at sketching, then take some photos which will provide a reference after your models have gone.
- Pay special attention to their expressions, body language will portray romantic intention beautifully. Your pencil drawing does not even need to portray whole figures or complete scenes but could easily be hands interlocking or equally the woman with her hand stroking her partner?s cheek in an affectionate manner. There are so many options to choose from.
-? Be sure not to press too hard so that there are no marks are left on the paper if you need to redraw part of it but the beauty of pencil drawing, is that mistakes can easily be erased.
