A somewhat unique hobby or sport is robot combat. When engaged in robot combat, two designed robots fight each other with different ways of trying to destroy or at least make the other one quit working properly. The robots are remote controlled.

You may recall a few television shows that featured robot combat. Three of the most popular were the TV shows Robotica, Robot Wars and Battlebots. Although these television shows are no longer aired, rc robotic combats are still held.

The FIRST competition stands for- For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. FIRST represents teamwork and collaboration among engineers. FIRST wants each team to remain friendly towards each other and even help each other when needed.

There are different types of robots you can choose to make. You can choose to spend a lot of money on your robot. The main cost of the robot is the weight.
