Scott commenced his four-year Carpentry Apprenticeship in 1981 with the NSW Master Builders Association. During this time Scott worked on many homes look at, Model Display Cases in Sydney, carrying out additions & alterations.

During this time Scott also completed his Clerk Of Works Certificate. Scott obtained his personal Builders Licence in August 1990 and three years later established Buildwyse Constructions.
Scott continued his involvement with the Master Builders Association and in 2008 completed the MBA Building checkout, Collectors Display Cabinets Consultants course. Scott was then accepted and accredited as a representative building consider, Collectible Maps and Globes consultant for the NSW Master Builders Association. He regularly undertakes further industry courses and remains as an accredited consultant with the MBA.
