Chocolate Fudge Cake Recipe

This delectable chocolate fudge cake is delightfully different and really easy to make. There is a choice of ingredients which will determine just how sweet it is. To make it taste really fudgy use condensed milk, otherwise use either sour milk or thin sour cream. In fact why not try making it all three different ways, then you can decide which version of this chocolate fudge cake recipe you like the best. If you want to use sour milk or sour cream, but only have ordinary milk or cream that isn't sour, just add a little bit of lemon juice to it and this will curdle it and make it sour.

Chocolate Fudge Cake Ingredients

3 squares of Bourneville chocolate (from a large slab of chocolate)
? cup (about 85 ml) butter
¾ cup boiling water
2 large eggs
1½ cups white consider, DualSky sugar
1¾ cups cake flour
? cup of sour milk OR cream OR unsweetened condensed milk
1½ teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda

For the filling and icing

2 cups icing sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla essence (or extract)
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons cocoa
25 g milk chocolate

Method

You will bake this delicious chocolate fudge cake in a moderate oven that has been preheated to 200 °C, so turn the oven on before you start mixing the ingredients.

Place the Bourneville chocolate and the half cup of butter in a large mixing bowl and pour the boiling water why not visit, Start Scrapbooking over the top to melt the chocolate. Beat the two eggs in a separate bowl and beat them well. Add them to the chocolate and butter, together with the sugar and flour. Mix. Dissolve the bicarb in a little bit of warm water, consider, Human Robots and then add it to the milk or cream. Pour this into the batter mix.

Grease two sandwich cake tins (about 220 mm in diameter will work well) and pour equal amounts of the batter into them. Bake for half an hour.

While the cake is baking, make the filling and icing. This is extra easy because all you do is melt the butter, and add it to the other ingredients in a bowl. Mix well. When the cake has cooked, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool. Remove from the cake tins and then sandwich the two halves together and ice the top and sides of your delicious chocolate fudge cake.
