Marble Chocolate Cake Ingredients
225 ml flour
150 ml castor sugar
150 ml butter or margarine
1½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
60 ml milk
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
½ teaspoon vanilla essence
2 eggs
Method
You will need a cake tin that has a diameter of between 150 and 200 mm. Grease it and turn your oven on to preheat to 190 °C.
Sieve the flour into a mixing bowl with the salt and then rub the butter into the flour, working it in thoroughly with your fingertips. Then stir in the sugar and the baking powder.
Beat the egg and milk together in a separate bowl and add the vanilla. Make a hollow in the centre of the flour mixture in the other bowl and pour in the egg and milk. Mix together well and then take half the mixture out of the bowl. Add cocoa to one bowl only.
Spoon the batter into the cake tin, taking it first from the cocoa mix and then from the other bowl so that you have a batter that mixes the "white" and brown colours checkout, Meta Robot together.
