Robots have been fascinating human beings for centuries and that is why there have been many famous robots which have gained immense popularity. Many movies, books, comics and TV shows have revolved around various types of robots. When you sit down to make a list of your favorite famous robot, a large number of robots come into the mind. Marvin - this robot was a character of the movie 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' which was released in the year 2005. C-3PO - this robot was the main character in the Stars Wars series and people know it because it appeared in all the Star Wars movies from 1977 up till now. Its job was to serve the humans and therefore to protect them as well.

Johnny 5 - it is also a robot from a fictional series on the internet also look at, Smartech RC Cars and this robot starred in 2 movies Short Circuit and the follow up of it, Short Circuit II. It became such a famous robot because of its ability to think and feel like a human being.
